About the Role >>> Finance / Accounting Intern

As the Finance / Accounting Intern reporting to the Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, you will have the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment and gain hands-on experience in the biotech industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative women’s oncology company with significant potential to transform breast cancer treatments. This position will focus on the daily operational activities within the finance and accounting team. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about finance, have exceptional analytical and communication skills, and are eager to learn and grow in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

This position is an 8-week paid summer internship. The base pay is $22/hour and you will be working 40 hours a week in a hybrid workplace model with 2-3 days per week onsite at our Cambridge office.

Your work will primarily encompass: 

• Manage transactional accounting tasks for our local and international entities 
• Assist with accounts payable management and processing 
• Process invoices and purchase orders 
• Run accounts payable reports and follow up for approvals 
• Prepare monthly journal entries 
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc requests and projects

Qualifications:

• Currently a third- or fourth-year student enrolled in a 4-year undergraduate program or 2024 graduate, required
• Currently majoring in and/or taking Business Administration or Finance classes or closely related field of study, required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software system is required
