Position Purpose: Leads the strategic planning, organization, and management of maintenance programs associated with electrical, instrumentation and CEMS processes as developed and approved by the Maintenance and Reliability Manager with the goal of fostering a plant cultural change resulting in consistent and measurable goals. Asset Management results across maintenance management of the Incineration facility and Stabilization process. Assist and work together with the mechanical superintendent and other departments.Primary Duties/responsibilities: Manage and administer a work team responsible for the maintenance of the plant related to Electrical, instrumentation and CEMS systemEnsure the proper functioning and operation of electromechanical equipment and systems in the plantOrganize preventive and corrective maintenance using the computer-assisted maintenance management system (VAMS).Support and provide coverage functions of the mechanical superintendentParticipate in the implementation of the maintenance plan and rangesParticipate in the management and renewal of assetsParticipate in the writing of procedures, plans, reports involving the departmentPrepare and manage the operating budgets of the departmentValidate and approve the purchase of materials necessary for the operations of his departmentValidate, approve and manage service contracts, and monitor the performance of suppliers and subcontractors under their responsibilityFollow up/approve time sheets and manage schedulesEnsure the management of labor relations in collaboration with Human Resources (conflict management, disciplinary measures and application of the collective agreement);Plan skills and personnel requirements based on responsibilities, needs and time coverageRecruit, select and orient employees in the departmentEnsure that health and safety rules and procedures, as well as those related to hygiene and environmental protection, are respectedParticipate in the diagnosis and rapid resolution of complex problemsMonitor and analyze the quality of maintenanceInforms team of results and directions to be takenEnsure that the team maintains excellent relations with internal and external clientsDevelop, implement and manage the integration, training and coaching of employees;Develop and monitor the evolution of the skills of its employees and support them in achieving the established objectives;Mobilize and coordinate inter-departmental work, when necessary;Manages all aspects of the maintenance function of the incinerator and stabilization plant.Manages Preventive, Predictive and Corrective maintenance services, installation or repairs in one or more skills areas such as plumbing, mechanical, electrical repairs, pneumatic, hydraulic, installation and any other static or rotating equipment, supported by the E&I techsScheduling of maintenance work activities. Ordering of supplies for job functions and monitoring spare parts inventory levels. Mentoring junior E&I techsAdvanced calibration skillsVehicle MaintenanceKnowledgeable in all Electrical and Instrument aspects of equipmentDevelop and plan for all E&I related activities for scheduled and unscheduled shutdowns. Provide planning info to the TAR coordinator and assist with activities.QualificationsEducation / Experience / Background: Experience in organizational and Incineration maintenance management.At least ten years in positions within the industrial plant environment with knowledge of methods, principles and practices of operating, maintaining and repairing incineration plant equipment, instrumentation and associated system experience preferred.Experience with Electrical schematics, motor, hydraulics, compressed air, electronics (VFD's, PLC's etc.), high speed rotating equipment and conveying equipment.At least five years Lead or Supervisory experience required with understanding of human relations, training, performance evaluation and health and safetyFive years progressive lead and/or supervisory experience with maintenance management systems and processes as well as experience in maintenance of physical systems.Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Must have an understanding of incineration treatment processMust demonstrate effective skills in troubleshooting, problem solving and team building.Ingenuity and initiative are required to coordinate problem resolution and to execute the schedule requirements within a team environment.Must have general knowledge of budget preparation and understanding of cost control.Demonstrated good verbal communications and interpersonal skills in order to interface with and motivate all levels of personnel.Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate, timely, effective, complete and easily understood written communications and reports.Proficiency in the care and use of all site specific, facility required PPE (Personal Protection Equipment).PC skills and knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software for preparing work related reports, charts, graphs and data submittal requirements.Ability to use computer systems for preparing work orders and purchasing requisitions. (CMMS Software)Strong PC skills with proficiency in MS Access database software, MS Excel spreadsheet, MS Project, and word processing and the ability to optimize the use of technology and systems to communicate, manage budget and to streamline processes and increase efficiency.Familiarity with maintenance, operation, regulatory reporting and cost estimating software.Must be able to serve rotational 24 hour emergency on-call if required by site.Demonstrated commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the Company's Code of Business Conduct and other Company policies and procedures.Knowledge of CMMS systems Demonstrated ability to manage projects to an on schedule completion and within budget.Exposure to budget preparation, cost control, and demonstrates the ability to forecast budget, staffing and equipment needs.Demonstrated effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills in order to interface with and motivate all levels of personnel.Required Certification / Licenses / Training: Valid Driver's license and safe driving record.Additional InformationWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer!
