Inventory Sales Associate-
Republic Airport, Farmingdale, NY
Are you an aviation enthusiast who loves learning about various parts and processes within the industry? Perhaps you are someone who enjoys building and managing relationships with various vendors and/or companies. Do you thrive on being meticulously organized and take great pride in finding the needle in the haystack? If so, we have the position for you! Ventura Air Services has a NEW opening for an Inventory Sales associate at our location in Farmingdale, NY. This is a new position within our maintenance team and will play a critical role in managing our inventory and building vital relationships with venders as we continue to grow.
This position has the ability to make an immediate impact cross-functionally within the company.

Position
Responsibilities: 
  • Coordinates resources necessary to ensure timely sourcing and repair.
  • Decides sourcing of ‘customer supplied parts’ for repair.
  • Tracks aircraft teardowns and part numbers for sourcing and compatibility/effectivity.
  • Supports internal, external, and retail customers.
  • Provides quotes to Sales Managers and external customers.
  • Manages inventory and quantity levels on various parts broker websites.
  • Determine market value, alternates, interchangeable, mods.
  • Work with technical support to source hard-to-find requirements.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with MROs, suppliers, and teardown facilities.
  • Coordinate with MRO shops on repairs, such as customer-supplied parts and disposition of BER parts.
  • Update Sales Managers on transaction progress and details.
  • Responsible for revenue goals

Required Skills & Abilities
:
  • Strong Microsoft office skills; specifically excel.
  • Previous aviation or inventory control experience required.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Professional and well spoken. Must be comfortable speaking to team members, clients, owners, vendors, and guests from all demographics.
  • Model a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong business acumen and decision-making.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Confident and goal-oriented
  • Aligns with the Ventura Core Values
  • A Valid Driver's license is required.
  • Previous experience working with Corridor- or similar inventory control systems.
  • Demonstrated experience managing inventory in an aviation, repair shop or manufacturing setting strongly preferred.

This position has the possibility of being a hybrid position once settled and established. The first 2-3 months at minimum will be onsite to learn about Ventura’s Core Values, our business, and fully get settled into this position. Ventura consists of an award-winning team of individuals and working onsite with them brings fun and adventure into a typical workday.
The desired shift for this position would be Wednesday through Sunday. Or possibly Thursday through Monday. This position would provide an overlap of our current inventory specialist as well as provide very necessary weekend coverage.
The expected compensation range for this position is $55,000-$70,000 dependent on experience.
