Job Details:
Employee Duties:
Employee Duties:
- Document, prepare and revise patient plan of care, progress notes, and other clinical records.
- Screens, examines and evaluates patients.
- Direct Physical Therapy treatment.
- Perform clinical pediatric assessment; Identify patient needs and appropriateness of patients needs.
- Provide supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants in accordance with state licensure requirements and professional standards.
- Attends and contributes to staffing conferences and other related meetings.
- Use effective interpersonal relations and communication skills.
- Assist/instruct patient or family in carryover techniques appropriate to patient abilities, as well as the appropriate use and care of therapeutic appliances such as walkers, wheelchairs, canes ect.
- Demonstrate commitment, professional growth, and competency.
Knowledge of:
- Appropriate behavioral intervention strategies.
- Learning theories and instructional methods.
- Ethics, laws, and regulations of acceptable behavior interventions.
- Developmental processes of children.
- Interpersonal skills needed to manage crisis situations.
- Technology, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Medical Specialty:
- Pediatrics.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday.
Position start time:
- Immediately.
Education:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program (Required).
License/Certification:
- Texas Physical Therapy License (Required).
