GAC 2022 is Hiring an Accounts Receivable Processor Near Southfield, MI
General Function & Essential Duties:
The Accounts Receivable Processor represents the company’s Accounts Receivable department. Primary role of the position is to assist with inbound and outbound calls with customers and fellow Guardian associates. Along with assisting with phone calls, the AR Processor will review and complete a variety of AR queue actions, complete audits, assist with returned mail & complete billing related updates. This position requires a professional, detail oriented and self-motivated skill set.
- Understand MAS billing functions & processes
- Research billing & payment applications
- Generate debits & credits where required
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone or email
- Maintain customer purchase order files
- Process customer account cancellations
- Complete audit reports
- Work assigned AR processing queue
- Complete returned mail process
- Assist with cross-training and updating procedures
- Complete assigned Learning Management courses within the expected deadline.
- Attend and interact within all scheduled department and company meetings.
Required Skills, Abilities, Experience & Education:
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external customers.
- Multitask orientated, ability to handle and resolve multiple customer requests.
- Punctual, dedicated with good attendance record.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven attendance record.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
- Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail
- 2 year college degree in related field or equivalent customer accounting working experience
- Previous customer service, accounts receivable background is preferred
- Military experience will be considered
- Accounts Receivable experience
- Customer service experience, phone & interpersonal skills
- Audit experience
