Vemco Inc is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales/Quotations

We are searching for a full-time Inside Sales/Quotations representative to join our team at our Billings MT location!

Work Environment & Schedule

Exempt status, full-time, inside sales/quotation position based with normal business hours and a standard week. May require additional hours to accommodate deadlines and project demands. United States Work Authorization (required).

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Branch Manager and Department Lead, acts as an inside sales representative to prepare quotations, proposals and competitively price products. The successful Sales Representative will support with professionally typing and formatting quotes and proposals, accurately price commercial products for projects within our territory and work closely with a sales team and customers to close sales and achieve quotas. The Sales Representative will assist our sales team with timely quotations and competitively priced products. As an inside Sales Representative, or Sales Agent, they will also research sales competition and provide adequate equivalents to our customers. Also, must work collaboratively as a member of the Vemco Team and in alignment with the values of the organization.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

Day to Day Activities

· Assist with forecasting sales using various online tracking software and tools

· Evaluate customers skills, needs and build productive long-lasting relationships

· Meet personal and team sales targets

· Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads

· Attend virtual and in-state trainings and sales meetings when necessary to keep abreast of the latest products, prices and distributor programs. At times, out of state travel for training may be required

· Report and provide feedback timely and accurately to the sales team

· Maintain manufacturer relationships

· Work with Lead Salesperson on Design/Budget and “Bid Day” Activities

· Budget and Quotation Activities

· Work closely with Engineers on obtaining basis of design and prior approvals

· Be the industry leader for timely, accurate, and knowledgeable product application, selection and pricing

· Identify opportunities in the early stages of the design/budget process and apply our products accordingly

· Identify and work closely with Wholesalers on Design/Build projects which are common in this territory

· Reach out to both “Friendly” and “Non-Friendly” wholesalers, contractors and engineers to promote our products and identify opportunities and needs in the market

“Bid Day” Activities

· Perform Takeoffs

· Submit Prior Approvals

· Price products and ensure we meet specification

· Create Professional and Accurate Quotations for Wholesalers

· Create Submittals in a timely fashion and accurately to avoid delays to the project

· Coordinate the order of material in a timely fashion and accurately to avoid delays and additional costs

· Work with Wholesalers, Contractors and Engineers as questions and issues need to be addressed on new and existing projects

Qualifications

· Solid Microsoft Office competence

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills

· Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

· Self-motivated and results driven

· Ability to handle deadlines and avoid schedule conflicts

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications. Wages DOE, base salary range from $38,000 to $45,600 per year
  • Company paid medical, vision and life insurance from first of month after date of hire – optional dental insurance is available.
  • 401(k) retirement with company match, Profit Sharing, Quarterly Bonus Program and Personal Time Accruals for vacation and sick time as well as paid holidays
