Job Objective: Perform a variety of strategic engineering work to analyze, evaluate, and improve manufacturing operations and processes in a regional or global theater. Understand internal and external customer requirements to align work product minimizing waste, operational cost, and risk, while maximizing efficiency through strategic execution and ultimately driving customer satisfaction.

• Utilize appropriate statistical and/or data analysis tools within a structured problem solving approachto characterize and improve existing operations or translate customer requirements into repeatable and capable manufacturingprocesses.

• Plan, execute, and analyze multi-phase validations or scenarios to determine if new equipment, processes, or tooling meet functional performancerequirements and/or metrics.

• Initiate, develop, and maintain Charters and Implementation Plans (includes establishingproject scope, anticipated gains, required resources, timelines,etc.)

• Act as Engineering liaison to various groups, participate on analysis/design/project review teams.Develop product and equipment specifications to ensure resulting processes are manufacturingcapable.

• Support transfer of project solutions, new processes or products to on-going operations, through operator training and development of standard operating procedures, whereapplicable.

• Establish and implement control plans to ensure project gains and improvements are realizedand maintained overtime.

• Understands and contributes to the development and execution of the Operational Strategy that in turn drives Operational Excellence Regionally and Globally.

• B.S. Degree in Engineering, advanced degree a plus.
• 5 to 9 years of experience in a plastics, textiles, or similar manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of textile or plastics manufacturing processes preferred.
• Strategic problem solving skills- ability to work ambiguous problems into specific recommendations and execution plans.
• Knowledge of finance, costing, SIOP and general business processes.
• Knowledge of operations and business processes and analytics.
• High proficiency and practical experience with Oracle, MS Office Suite, Power BI and other applicable analytic/data visualization software.
• Demonstrated project management, teamwork, and leadership skills.
• Ability to identify with the implications of work product on other areas in the business.
• Comfortable running multiple projects simultaneously, switching context based on impact and urgency.
• Excellent communications skills (verbal, written, and presentation), effective on multiple levels.
