Are you ready for a rewarding career with a national leader in the vinyl industry? VEKA is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Raw Material Inventory Control Technicians.
This position requires a hardworking, deadline driven individual who performs a variety of duties in receiving and handling raw materials.
The Raw Materials / Inventory Control Technician ensures compliance with established procedures and must have excellent communication skills that support interaction between all departments.
This position is Wednesday-Saturday 10am-8 : 30pm
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Responsible for unloading raw materials from railcars and trucks
- Moves raw materials into silo or storage spaces
- Ensures that raw materials are staged and ready for production in appropriate areas.
- Cleans silo areas and silo fill areas
- Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of material storage area
- Operates forklift and crane
- Assists in daily inventory counts and assists in maintaining reports.
- All other duties as assigned
Skills :
- Good verbal communication skills
- Dependable and punctual
- Basic computer skills, including excel
- Basic mathematical knowledge
- Ability to effectively manage time
Education :
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to obtain forklift and crane certification
Organizational Relationship :
Reports directly to Inventory Control Supervisor
Working Conditions :
- Ability to work extended hours as business needs dictate
- Must be able to move objects up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, push, pull for extended periods of time, occasionally kneeling and bending
