Position Summary:
Working with moderate supervision, this position selects and applies standard engineering principles and procedures in the design and development of new processes and tools with the focus of sustaining engineering. The role includes working across functions and supporting corporate initiatives aligned to strategy. Most of the work will be project based and focus on productivity, quality, safety, simplification, and lean initiatives that drive margin, customer satisfaction, and the quality of the workplace. Work will vary and include projects that range from capital equipment selection/purchase/installation/startup, to leading problem-solving teams on a wide variety of cost/quality issues including customer-facing communications. All focused on supporting a rapidly changing organization through simplifying processes and applying principles of continuous improvement and lean.
