The Opportunity:

The Account Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing relationships with Vegas.com partners and is the client’s advocate for Vegas.com products and services. The Account Manager will have a strong organizational background leading complex sales initiatives within results-oriented organizations, with an emphasis on advanced consultative selling principles. The core focus for this position is to drive revenue and the ideal candidate will bring a strong business acumen coupled with marketplace knowledge and a high level of account management expertise to the role. In addition, the individual would enhance the team through self-motivation, engagement with a multi-product sales organization and act as a subject matter expert with our product teams. Your skills in establishing and developing long term relationships with both internal and external customers will be a key to the success of the role.

What You’ll Do:

  • Actively develops and executes on leadership strategy that aims to exceed revenue targets; plays a key leading role in implementing cross-functional Vegas.com activities and initiatives
  • Gains deep insight into the market through developing long-term strategic alliances and partnerships that increase the company's competitive advantage, and delivers business intelligence using a variety of internal data modeling tools
  • Participates in industry events and speaking engagements to share deep industry knowledge, forming long-term, influential relationships in the process
  • Focuses on developing mutually beneficial internal relationships across the company functions in the pursuit of innovative opportunity development, including call center, risk management, retail and marketing teams
  • Influences external decision makers to partner with Vegas.com; monitors the industry for creative ideas and solutions that can be used with partners
  • Influences the organization by communicating strategy and market insights, cultivating a culturally positive work environment
  • Analyzes data and trends from various platforms to effectively draw conclusions. Uses data to drive intelligent conversations with management teams and partners. Makes recommendations and intelligent business decisions to drive partner interaction and drive bottom line profitability. Presents recommendation to partners regularly.
  • Creates and maintains strong relationships with assigned partners as the primary point of contact for select shows, tours, attractions, and entertainment accounts 
  • Meets with all partners regularly and experiences their products to maximize sales opportunities with Vegas.com which may include marketing recommendations, revenue recommendations or other strategic recommendations.
  • Educates partners on Vegas.com’s new initiatives and market trends. Often negotiates favorable terms and conditions with the partner on behalf of the company
  • Works with appropriate internal teams to ensure execution and follow through on all client inquiries, issues, and subsequent solutions. Also works with internal teams to launch new products, promotions, inventory, and service existing partner’s needs
  • Monitors competitor’s sites, rates, inventories, new initiatives and uses this knowledge to make informed recommendations to management
  • Represent Vegas.com at various industry events where partners or industry professionals are present, often after standard business hours / weekends

Who You Are:

  • 5 years’ experience in analytics, e-commerce, hospitality, client or sales relations and leadership in account management. Bachelor’s Degree; MBA or other postgraduate qualification desired, preferably in Hospitality, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
  • Ability to effectively analyze data and draw conclusions, present information articulately, and respond to questions from managers, partners, executive management, customers, and the public. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, such as executive presentations; extensive experience presenting materials in front of groups
  • Excellent strategic thinking, communication, time management, organizational and analytical skills required
  • Detail oriented, with a strong ability to move effectively between concurrent initiatives 
  • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision and prioritize workload to ensure completion in a timely manner or within set time frames or deadlines
  • Knowledge of the Las Vegas hospitality market required 
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of yield management principles and practices
  • Strong focus on “team” with a “get it done” attitude
  • Experience working in a flexible, fast-paced ever-changing and challenging environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software with an emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to attend evening/weekend events regularly
