vedainfo is Hiring an Events Manager Near Ossining, NY

Coordinate and manage indoor and outdoor events for non-profit organizations, ranging from small gatherings to large-scale affairs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project management, overseeing planning timelines, budgets, and task execution for various events including the annual Gala, EagleFest, PlantFest, and Pancake Brunch.
  • Source and manage vendors required for events, including executing vendor contracts, tracking rental revenue, and maintaining a recommended vendor list.
  • Cultivate and coordinate third-party rentals of Client’s facilities for weddings, community events, meetings, and children’s parties.
  • Draft and distribute agendas for event committee meetings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Teatown donors and constituents through various communication channels.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with the Westchester County, New York, cultural and environmental landscape, including parks systems.
  • Attend evening and weekend events as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 to 10 years of public and private event management experience, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in technology, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, and calendaring software.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively with volunteer committees.
  • Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and punctuality.
  • Interest in environmental issues, conservation, and Client’s mission is desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,156.41 - $60,403.41 per year
