Vector New York is Hiring a Leasing Associate Near Manhattan, NY

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Leasing Associate to join our team. As a Leasing Associate, you will be responsible for assisting prospective tenants with finding and leasing properties. Your role will involve conducting property tours, negotiating lease terms, and providing exceptional customer service.

Duties:

- Must work weekends
- Conduct property tours for potential tenants and highlight key features and amenities
- Respond to inquiries from prospective tenants via phone, email, or in person
- Assist with the application process, including collecting necessary documentation and conducting background checks
- Negotiate lease terms and rental rates with prospective tenants
- Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, including conducting inspections and documenting any damages
- Maintain accurate records of all leasing activities using property management software (e.g., OneSite)
- Stay up-to-date with local rental market trends and competitor analysis
- Ensure compliance with fair housing laws and regulations
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to address any maintenance or repair issues in a timely manner

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of property leasing procedures and practices
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable lease terms
- Proven sales abilities to effectively market available properties
- Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience using property management software (e.g., OneSite) is preferred
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to leasing and fair housing practices
- Exceptional customer relationship management skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
