Summary:
Vecta Industrial Cleaning Company, a leader in providing comprehensive industrial cleaning solutions, is seeking a skilled and experienced Tank Cleaning Supervisor. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading a team of tank cleaners, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of tank cleaning operations. Your leadership and technical expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team of tank cleaners, providing clear direction, guidance, and support.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on project requirements and individual strengths.
- Foster a positive and safety-conscious work environment, promoting teamwork and accountability.
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Collaborate with project managers to plan and coordinate tank cleaning projects.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource requirements, and equipment needs.
- Ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards.
- Safety Compliance:
- Enforce and uphold strict adherence to safety protocols, including confined space entry procedures and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for the team.
- Investigate and report incidents promptly, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Quality Control:
- Oversee the execution of tank cleaning operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are achieved.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks on completed work to verify compliance with client specifications and company standards.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cleaning processes and outcomes.
- Equipment Management:
- Manage and maintain tank cleaning equipment, ensuring proper functioning and timely maintenance.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to address equipment issues promptly.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment to support project needs.
- Client Communication:
- Serve as a point of contact for clients during tank cleaning projects.
- Provide regular project updates, address client concerns, and ensure overall client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and expectations.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in industrial cleaning or related fields are a plus.
- Proven experience in tank cleaning operations, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- In-depth knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and equipment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
- Proficient in project management, with the ability to plan, organize, and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Understanding of environmental regulations related to waste disposal and cleaning processes.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as project demands require.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
