Summary:
Vecta Industrial Cleaning Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hydroblast Technician to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for executing high-pressure water blasting operations on industrial surfaces, equipment, and structures. Your expertise in hydroblasting techniques and commitment to safety will contribute to the success of our industrial cleaning projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Hydroblasting Operations:
    • Operate high-pressure water blasting equipment, including hydroblasting guns, hoses, and pumps.
    • Perform hydroblasting on various surfaces, such as tanks, pipes, heat exchangers, and industrial structures.
    • Adjust water pressure and flow rates based on the specific cleaning requirements and surface materials.
  • Safety Compliance:
    • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines during hydroblasting operations.
    • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) effectively and ensure the safety of yourself and team members.
    • Conduct pre-job safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    • Conduct routine maintenance on hydroblasting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
    • Troubleshoot and address equipment malfunctions promptly, coordinating with the maintenance team as needed.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of hydroblasting equipment and work areas.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure that hydroblasting activities meet quality standards and client specifications.
    • Conduct pre- and post-cleaning inspections to assess the effectiveness of hydroblasting operations.
    • Document and report any deviations from the cleaning plan or unexpected conditions.
  • Project Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to plan and execute hydroblasting projects efficiently.
    • Communicate effectively with team members, providing insights and feedback on project progress.
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure a smooth workflow and project completion
  • Environmental Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to water usage, wastewater disposal, and the handling of contaminants.
    • Implement environmentally friendly practices in hydroblasting operations whenever possible.
Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hydroblasting or industrial cleaning is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Hydroblast Technician, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of hydroblasting equipment, techniques, and safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with different surfaces and materials and the appropriate hydroblasting methods for each.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required by project demands.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Valid TWIC card
