The successful candidate will be an experienced veterinarian or confident new grad looking to provide excellent patient care and client service in a fast-paced clinic. Exotics experience preferred but not required. **Opportunity for growth and development of strong leadership skills is available!

VCA Mission San Jose Animal Hospital is a fast-paced, two doctor small animal practice that provides high quality, compassionate care with excellent customer service. 

Our well-equipped, spacious facility is warm and welcoming. To provide excellent care we are equipped with in-house labs (including chemistries and a variety of SNAP tests), ultrasound, and digital radiography. Digital dental radiographs are our standard for every patient undergoing dental prophylaxis, and VCA’s Care Club provides a cost-effective solution to developing a strong preventative care relationship.

We are looking for a Full-Time veterinarian (Part-Time Negotiable) to join VCA Mission San Jose family, our hospital that is open 5 days/week, schedule includes 4 days/week (Mon-Fri) with no on-call hours.

Our hospital leadership team works hard to promote a healthy work-life balance and create schedules that are mutually beneficial for the hospital team as well as the hospital flow and patient care.

We are located in the thriving city of Fremont in the heart of Ohlone Valley. Fremont, California is a beautiful city, surrounded by foothills that are full of hiking trails, including the infamous Mission Peak Trail and Elizabeth Lake. Take a little drive to San Francisco, where you can visit places like The Academy of Science, Alcatraz, and the de Young Museum, to name a few. Another short drive can get you to the beaches of Santa Cruz, Capitola, Carmel, Monterey, and Half Moon Bay.

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The annual salary range for this position is $66,560 - $180K. This position may also be eligible for other variable pay programs.
