Inventory Planner

Time Utilization: Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

· Working with the sales department on customer demand and inventory coordination.

· Review inventory forecasts and stock levels in collaboration with the sales, through company computer systems and direct contact.

· Coordinate supply demand summaries with purchasing departments playing a central part in preventing inventory and supply shortages or excesses.

· Tracking and maintaining the status of orders and reporting any delivery issues to the impacted departments.

· Weekly interaction with the sales team to work on customer forecasting and inventory requirements.

· Coordinating with purchasing for correct procurement of films and bags from suppliers.

· Responding to emergency requests and expediting orders as needed.

· Create systems to match customer demand with purchasing forecast.

This role will be the liaison between the sales organization and the purchasing department. Daily and weekly interaction with the sales team to understand customer inventory requirements and coordinate with purchasing to understand and meet customer needs. This is a high-volume position that requires focus, a high degree of organization and a solid understanding of our business as well as excellent communication skills and patience. To ensure success as an Inventory Planner, you should have excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact effectively with a variety of staff members in all departments.

Confirm all pricing, quantities, availability, and freight. Confirms all purchase orders are received by suppliers within 48 hours of execution and schedules deliveries as needed. Monitors lead times to ensure orders are received as close to the time of need as possible. Material Shortage reports relied on by all areas of business must be continually updated to include order date, alternative shipping location, material ETAs, lead times and other pertinent information.
