Job Overview:
Join the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) department in Waterbury, CT, on a 3-month contract. As a traveling MRI Technician, you'll have a guaranteed 40 hours per week, working Monday, Thursday, and Friday. Enjoy comprehensive benefits including dental, eye care, and medical coverage.

Qualifications:

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), ARMRIT or ARRT MRI
• Experience: Minimum of one year in MRI, with preference for GE experience
• Skills: Strong work ethic, critical thinking, and ability to work both independently and in a team

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and position patients, select anatomical and technical parameters, and produce cross-sectional images of the body
• Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination
• Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images, and develop films
• Follow radiation safety procedures and ensure high-quality image submissions to PACS
• Monitor equipment and report any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel
• Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and film storage areas
