Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. As an LPN, you will provide quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, and home care. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being and comfort of patients under your care.
Duties:
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities
- Assist with diagnostic procedures, such as sonography and tube feeding
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide wound care and dressings
- Perform IV insertion and manage IV therapy
- Assist with patient transfers and mobility
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Provide case management services for patients requiring ongoing care
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficient in performing sonography procedures
- Experience with tube feeding techniques
- Familiarity with hospital standards and protocols
- Skilled in IV insertion and management of IV therapy
- Ability to provide quality care in home care settings
- Knowledge of toddler care practices and techniques
- Strong case management skills
Requirements:
- Valid LPN license in [ME]
- BLS certification
- 1-2 years experience in Rehab/SNF/LTC
- Covid Card
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
