• Position: Travel Correctional RN
• Facility: Corrections
• Shift time: 3:00 PM-11:30 PM
• Location: Clayton, AL 36016
• Contract: 13 Weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours
• Rotating weekend
• Travel Blended Pay: $60/hr. on w2 or $2400 weekly.
• Local Pay: $52.5/hr. on w2 or $2100 weekly.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Conduct health assessments for inmates, including vital signs and screenings.
• Current state of RN License
• Delivers medical care: Manages chronic conditions, treats emergencies, & admins meds.
• Mental health support: Assesses & treats mental health, including substance abuse.
• Safety & security: Maintains safe environment, responds to emergencies, & upholds protocols.
• Limited diagnostics: Assesses & diagnoses within facility limitations, refers if needed.
• Collaboration: Works with officers, MH professionals, & legal teams.
• Documentation: Records patient care thoroughly & accurately.
• Education: May conduct health education programs for inmates.
• Advocacy: Champions improved healthcare access & policies.
• Unique role: Provides essential care in challenging environment.
