Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking a Director of Pharmacy, RN to join their team. We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of Pharmacy to lead our team and ensure the efficient and safe operation of our hospital pharmacy.
Responsibilities:
● Provide strategic direction for the pharmacy department, setting goals and objectives for quality improvement, fiscal management, productivity, and patient satisfaction. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
● Ensure the department adheres to best practices in medication management, drug information dissemination, and in-service education for hospital personnel. Liaise with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
● Oversee all pharmacy operations, including staff supervision, workflow optimization, and technology implementation. Anticipate customer and supplier needs to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
● Champion new programs and initiatives to enhance medication safety, patient outcomes, and departmental efficiency. Lead the evaluation and ongoing improvement of existing programs.
● Maintain a thorough understanding of all federal and state laws and regulations governing pharmacy services. Ensure the department operates within all legal and ethical guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
● Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy preferred, Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.S.) required.
● Current Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy required.
● Five (5) years of hospital leadership experience in an acute care setting, or completion of a PGY2 leadership residency, is mandatory.
● Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
● Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
● Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy law, regulations, and best practices.
