ABOUT THE JOB
Job Description:
We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to join and provide assistance and support to our Marketing/Proposal team. The Marketing Assistant's primary responsibilities, under the Marketing Manager's supervision, include gathering information, formatting and writing the proposal according to the RFP requirement, obtaining approval, and sending the proposal in a timely manner. The successful candidate should have excellent written communication skills, be detail-oriented and consistent, and be able to work under pressure to meet demanding deadlines.
Type : Full-Time
Working Hours : 8 hours/day
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in journalism, communications, English, or related field
- 1 years of prior relevant experience in proposal writing (preferred but not required)
- Strong working knowledge of word processing software
- Excellent computer and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on tight deadlines
Responsibilities:
- Prepares proposals and presentations in response to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) as part of new business development initiatives.
- Type, proofread, and edit drafts. Once finalized, prepare proposals for mailing.
- Research, write, and organize information in a professional and credible manner.
- Perform follow-ups for the management team to take appropriate action on pending items; help create project schedules.
- Use company proposal templates for consistency within the department.
- Assist in updating proposal/marketing database and customer relationship management systems (CRM).
- Collaborate with the marketing team on active marketing programs/projects, such as drip email campaigns, website updates, and social media activities.
- Attend and assist with organizing the Firm’s marketing and networking events.
- Work as part of a team and offer suggestions for improvements or ways to streamline processes in the Marketing Department.
- Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks.
- Assist in special projects as directed that fall within the scope of capabilities.
