Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Surgery Scheduler to join our healthcare team. The Surgery Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures for patients, ensuring efficient and timely services.

Duties:
- Schedule surgeries, pre-operative appointments, and necessary tests for patients
- Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to arrange surgery dates and times
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations for surgical procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of scheduled surgeries and patient information
- Communicate with patients regarding surgery preparation instructions and post-operative care
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of medical office procedures in daily tasks
- Familiarity with phone systems to manage incoming calls related to scheduling

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a medical office setting or surgical scheduling role preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of HIPAA regulations
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems such as Epic or Eaglesoft
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks efficiently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with front desk duties and medical administrative support is a plus
