Job Description

We are an outpatient medical clinic seeking a qualified candidate for medical billing and collections.

START DATE: immediate

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure all Insurance Companies are billed accurately and in a timely manner using the correct forms and policies.
  • Ensure accurate entry of work into designated billing system.
  • Review EOB’s to ensure appropriate payment and the ability to resubmit claims to obtain correct payment.
  • Obtain all necessary information from clinics required for billing.
  • Accurately in posting for clinics designated region.
  • Identify accounts that require follow-up.
  • Review and mail or electronically submit all claims.
  • Showing up to work promptly and daily.
  • Other Job related duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS OF CANDIDATES:

  • Possess strong organizational and follow up skills.
  • Strong Knowledge of excel
  • Ability to work under deadlines.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with ICD-10, and CPT coding HCFA 1500 & UB-04
  • Experience with rejected claims, denials, and appeals
  • Experience with secondary insurances, medicare, and medicaid
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to prioritize and multi task a large work volume with a high level of efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Dependable and able to work independently.
  • Detail-orientated.
  • Shows up to work daily and is prompt.
  • 3 years of direct electronic medical billing and collections experience

PREFERRED CANDIDATES:

  • experience with KAREO Medical Billing software preferred
  • 3 or more years of experience with direct electronic medical billing
  • proficiency with computers
  • well spoken, social, out-going, and able to market the clinic to surrounding physicians, organizations, hospitals, and clinics
  • general understanding of patient anatomy
  • bilingual preferred

SALARY:

  • $17 - $20/hour , negotiable (based on level of experience and qualifications)
