Position Summary
This position has full responsibility of the asset business unit including but not limited to:
Position Responsibilities
1. Provide leadership by directing strategy and overseeing execution and implementation of all aspects of VASCOR Transport operations.
2. Lead and maintain a best-in-class safety program.
3. Develop and execute long-term company growth strategy.
4. Enhance relationships with key clients.
5. Select, develop, and direct team members to reach their fullest potential.
6. Own division financial results and review regularly to ensure goals are being met.
7. Identify and develop cost avoidance and cost savings opportunities.
8. Implement and ensure company standards are being followed.
9. Track and achieve VASCOR Transport’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and performance metrics.
10. Collaborate with the parent company’s VP of Inbound Logistics, and other stakeholders.
Essential Skills and Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree logistics preferred or other business acumen.
Experience
3-5 years’ experience as an executive in the full Truckload market.
Experienced Leader in Truckload Operation with a focus on General Freight.
Complete understanding of FMCSA.
Experienced in equipment strategies.
Creating and leading teams to predetermined KPI’s.
Strong written, oral, presentation and project management skills.
