Summary Description
Produce high quality aluminum castings in accordance to product specifications for commercial contracts.Essential Functions
- Manually handle and pour molten aluminum through the use of pouring ladles
- Perform general mold prep work
- Perform general cast post-pour work
- Operate automated molten aluminum pouring machines
- Monitor furnaces for proper metal consistency and output
- Operate automated rapping machines
- Manually rap out parts
- Operate large saws and other associated machines
- Operate hand tools such as grinders, die grinders, hammers, sledge hammers, spray guns, etc.
- Perform visual part inspections
- Perform torch use
- Utilize mobile equipment and crane operation
- Perform general housekeeping and paperwork (routing, scheduling, and QA) as needed
- Must maintain a Good Attendance Record
- Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned
Must have High School diploma or GED; equivalent job experience is a plus. Forklift experience is a plus. Must be able to use the following machines, tools, equipment and/or work aids: Forklifts, cranes, hand tools, automated and manually operated machines
