Varsity Orthopedics . We are actively seeking adding a "Medical Biller/Authorizations Specialist" team member to our billing department. Specifically, a candidate who is knowledgeable in: Medicaid - HMO - PPO claim denials and Patient Statement collections. A personable and team player is essential characteristics to be successful.

Additional Prerequisites:

• 2-3 years of Medical Collections & Billing functions (Aprima helpful)

• Production Goals set and reached by the candidate (Per week - Month - Quarterly)
• Using Excel Spreadsheet
• Tracking billed - Re-billed- Appeal - Reconsideration to Peer to Peer Review scheduling.
• Excellent grammar and note taking into Aprima & copied to excel spreadsheet.
• Calling Carriers for Claim status and note taking per code or denial of claim / code.
• Must enjoy working on the phone. Positive phone attitude is essential when conversing with Patients pertaining to their outstanding balancing on their accounts.

• Doing Authorizations for Surgeries, MRI, and Physical Therapy.
