Title: Travel Phlebotomist

Location: Wallingford, CT 06492

Duration: 0-3 Months (Temp to hire)

Shift: 1st Shift (M-F)

Pay Rate: $20.00-$22.00/Hour on W2.

Responsibilities:

Draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures.

Creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skilful, safe, and accurate manner.

Provides coverage at multiple locations for various roles, ensuring daily activities are completed accurately and on time.

Demonstrates leadership behaviours, focusing on process excellence skills, sensitivity to confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.

Acts as a coach, mentor, instructor, resource advisor for new employees, and provides effective onboarding services to new clients.

Acts as a point of contact for staff on-site and provides regular input to the group lead or supervisor.

Focuses on working with customers with a high complexity and/or volume practice, requiring outstanding phlebotomy skills and customer-facing abilities.

Handles multiple priorities in a high-volume setting effectively.

Qualifications:

Completion of phlebotomy course and certification required.

Five years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment STRONGLY preferred.

Customer service in a retail or service environment is a huge plus.

Keyboard/data entry experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• laboratory: 1 year (Required)
• Blood sampling: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Preferred)
