We are seeking a motivated Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in Palo Alto, California in the medical capital equipment sector. This role is essential for enhancing supplier relationships, overseeing new product introductions, and elevating the quality of materials and services provided to Varian. The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will manage a designated group of suppliers to ensure top-tier product quality. Collaborating closely with the Incoming Inspection team, the SQE will develop comprehensive inspection strategies, select appropriate tools, and interpret engineering drawings to establish product acceptance criteria.
Furthermore, the SQE will establish strong ties with Varian's manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure components meet stringent requirements and lead investigations into component failures, working with suppliers and engineering teams to implement corrective actions. Additional responsibilities include assessing supplier capabilities, assisting with First Article Inspections, and conducting Performance Based Audits. This on-site position demands adherence to company quality policies and safety regulations while resolving supplier quality issues and preventing production bottlenecks.

The base pay range for this position is
