Job Summary:
Provides technical support to customers, field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems. Provides first-line product support to customer callers to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering. Will be involved in customer installation and training. Provides support to customer/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature. As with many applications products where the user is nontechnical, this position would generally interact with engineering support when the customer’s problem cannot be resolved directly.

• Required to take on-call shifts outside of normal work hours covering our customer support hotline responding to customer calls requiring timely resolution of technical issues. Compensation is offered for these efforts.
• Experience with digital X-ray detector panels is required / highly desirable. This could be experience using digital detectors for RT based NDT inspection work for asset integrity, or experience building and testing X-ray detectors in a production environment.

Experience Level with Business Tools

• Familiar with business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers via phone, email, and text.

Typical Education and Experience

• High School Degree or equivalent
• 0 – 1 year of experience
• ASTM Level I, II, or III certification for RT inspection desired
• Associates or higher-level electronics training and certification or equivalent experience is desired.

Ability to Travel

• Travel up to 25% may be required. Most customer interaction will be remote, but occasional and sometimes impromptu travel could be required to provide excellent service to customers.

• Work environments includes exposure to electrical current, proximity to moving mechanical parts, exposure to X-ray producing equipment or isotopes.
• On site job at our Houston, Texas facility. Valid driver’s license required.
