The Children's Program Assistant assists in the implementation of individualized children's plans that outlines their goals and objectives. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide curriculum support, 1:1 supervision to an assigned child and assist the assigned child in reaching their individualized program goals. 20 hours per week.

Essential Functions
1. Provides continuous 1:1 supervision and support for assigned child.
2. Assists in implementing individualized plans, records progress towards goals and objectives and completes required reporting, as directed by supervisor.
3. Initiates and follows through with interventions in an appropriate manner.
4. Communicates with supervisor regarding child's progress.
5. Is knowledgeable of procedures and fully implements individualized plans designed for specified child.
6. Assists in the implementation of skills training.
7. Fully informs supervisor of any issues resulting in a child's inability to achieve goals and objectives.
8. Makes recommendations to supervisor for additions/modifications to child's service plans.
9. Assists with lifting and positioning child, if directed.
10. Assists child on and off bus and/or ride on bus with child, if directed.
11. Reports all injuries and incidents.
12. Actively participates in crisis prevention and intervention, as directed.
13. Monitors and relays information consistently regarding overall status and wellbeing of child.
14. Assists with child's personal cares and hygiene needs (which may include feeding, toileting, dressing, dental hygiene, etc.), as directed by supervisor.
15. Assists supervisor and/or other staff with daily cleaning, program maintenance and internal child tracking.
16. Attends meetings and trainings as required.
17. May provide transportation services to assigned children.
18. Accepts other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Part-time
