Job Description

Reports to the Area Manager and provides the planning, coordination and direction for construction management activities. Duties includes ensuring the project is on budget, schedule, and the design fits the scope requirements for the contract. Will supervise Construction Managers, Field/Project Engineers, as well as other project staff as assigned. This position is client facing and will support construction in the Aviation Sector.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide Construction Project Management services for an International Airport Construction project
  • Strong knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure relation and compliance to project requirements
  • Direct interface with Federal regulatory agencies, the client, and, the General / Sub Contractors
  • Coordinate, direct, and monitor activities of contractors/subcontractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entities
  • Manage project controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures required by the client
  • Conduct project meetings and provide documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information Ensure contractor, architect, engineer, will adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipment
  • Provide management of project logistics, organization, safety, and manpower utilization
  • Ensure project closeout to obtain guarantees, warranties, and related provisions for final project delivery to the owner

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or Architecture required
  • Experience with United States Domestic Airport/Aviation construction projects is required
  • 15 or more years of experience in the Construction Industry with a bulk as a Project Manager required
  • Experience with multiple delivery methods (Design/Build, Lease Back-Back, PPP, etc.) required
  • Knowledge and application of construction project controls/scheduling, is required
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project related systems such as Primavera is required
  • Experience with the pre-construction / design phase of commercial airports is strongly preferred
  • Registration as Architect or Professional Engineer license for the State of California is preferred
