Our client, is a fast-growing New York based Cannabis Adult-use Processing and CPG Manufacturing Company. The company is a multi-faceted business which produces a wide variety of cannabis products for sale and distribution to licensed NYS dispensaries. In addition to the production and sale of our in-house brands, we also offer co-packing and distribution services for large multi-state cannabis brands. The company is currently hiring for two Processing Technicians in Rochester New York.

Overview: The Processing Technician is responsible for preparing and manufacturing high quality cannabis concentrates, cartridges, pre-rolls and other infused products. The Processing Technician will assist with preparation of biomass for extraction, cannabis flower for pre-rolls, concentrates and vapes for packaging. Along with inventory recording, entering data in multiple forms and associated tasks delegated by management. The Processing Technician will be responsible for a consistent, organized, and safe production and maintaining cannabis products, raw materials, packaging, and supplies adhering to company policies and GMP to successfully uphold quality control and consistent product production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparation of biomass for ethanol and hydrocarbon extraction process.
• Carry out all cartridge filling, pre-roll production, concentrate filling, final product packaging and labeling, and manufacturing procedures including equipment set up and breakdown in an efficient manner.
• Perform duties in a safe manner and environment while adhering to all governmental regulations, and company policies.
• Proper weighing, data recording, and batch tracking throughout the processing process.
• Inventory tracking of supplies, consumables, spare parts etc.
• Packaging various types and weights of cannabis products.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, cleaning and organizing the workspace on a frequent basis.
• Clean, organize, and store extraction and related equipment.
• Proper tracking and disposal of cannabis waste in accordance with State regulations.
• Creating and continuing updating extraction and post processing related spreadsheets.
• Keeping up to date on current laws, regulations, and changes to operational procedure.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D minimum
• One year of manufacturing experience with a focus on ensuring product safety, consumer safety and satisfaction, and high product quality is preferred
• Effective communication skills and attention to detail
• Strong work ethic
• Willingness to learn and improve each operation
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand basic math percentages and formulas
• High stress tolerance, adaptable, ability to work in an ever-changing environment, flexible
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time
• Ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must have reliable transportation

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

• Work involves daily exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures (hot and cold), humidity, darkness, and noise.
• Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards.
• Ability to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) such as hair net, earplugs, beard net (if applicable), protective gloves, safety harness, safety glasses and slip resistant work shoes/boots. Personal protective equipment, as defined
• Position requires the ability to stand; sit at a desk; walk around office and facility; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting. Also requires the ability to see; hear; and communicate by utilizing professional etiquette with all levels of associates and with external vendors.
