JOB SUMMARY:

The Fleet Recruiter is responsible for the full-cycle recruiting for the Fleet. The Fleet Recruiter meets established recruiting goals and ensures the successful execution of the recruiting process from the receipt of approved requisition to accepted offers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages work assignments to optimally align functional recruiting expertise with business needs and appropriately balance the work load.
• Effectively and efficiently sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates.
• Reports regularly on the status of the openings metrics.
• Supports the predetermined goals by consulting with the Port Captains in making the final candidate selection, determining the offer package, extending the offer and closing the deal.
• Oversees the reference/background check/drug testing process on all candidates receiving offers and ensure that these requirements are satisfactorily completed.
• Monitors the applicant and recruiting information flow to the Recruiting System to ensure timely, accurate and complete data capture.
• Develops proactive recruiting strategies and creates and maintains a candidate pipeline to include but not limited to face to face, online, social media, etc.
• Manages and participates in off-site recruits.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• BS/BA in business field related to position or experience equivalent
• Five years experience in recruiting, maritime and/or related field

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, be a self-starter and consistently communicate in a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated expertise in cold calling, candidate development
• Working knowledge of basic employment law and compliance requirements with USCG
• Demonstrated assessment skills in effectively evaluating candidates
• Customer service friendly
• Strong computer experience
• Experience managing and navigating various websites/database content
• Meticulous attention to detail
