Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented EVS Technician to join our team. As an EVS Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in a hospital setting. Your primary duties will include performing custodial tasks, ensuring proper sanitation, and providing support for floor care.

Duties:

• Participates in cleaning, maintenance, and decontamination of cage wash facility and other assigned areas. Conducts microbiological monitoring on cages and equipment.

• Transports equipment to new locations as instructed.

• Records information in accordance with outlined procedures.

• Maintains supplies for cage wash facility and other assigned areas.

• Operates equipment in accordance with equipment manuals. Reports potential equipment failures or safety concerns.

• Assembles caging with necessary supplies and food as instructed.

• Duties will include sweeping, mopping, trash removal, stocking PPE, and other consumable supplies..

- Perform routine cleaning tasks in patient rooms, offices, hallways, and common areas
- Follow established procedures for cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, including using appropriate chemicals and equipment
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste according to hospital guidelines
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, replenish supplies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- Assist with floor care tasks such as stripping, waxing, and buffing
- Adhere to OSHA regulations and hospital safety protocols
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations

SCHEDULE

• This is a 1st shift position.
• The initial schedule will be 8 am-4:30 pm. Potential to adjust after training.

Skills:
- Previous experience in environmental services or custodial work preferred
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and best practices
- Familiarity with hospital cleaning protocols is a plus
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
