Organization: VUMC Real Estate Job Summary: In coordination with other Departments, administers the rent associated with existing and new leases within the VUMC portfolio under occasional guidance. Supports lease portfolio maintenance including but not limited to annual common area maintenance reconciliations for both VUMC leases and leases and subleases in which VUMC is either the Landlord or Sublandlord. Supports the processing of service agreement invoices in support of either the VUMC Real Estate Office or specific projects under the oversight of VUMC Real Estate. DEPARTMENT/UNIT SUMMARY VUMC Real Estate is the central point of contact (internally and externally) for access to VUMC organizational expertise in leasing, acquisition of property, sale of property, and oversight of third-party landlord property management for VUMC leased properties. As part of the management of the portfolio, this office is responsible for setting up rent payment and review of annual reconciliations for all VUMC leases. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience. A background in real estate, preferably commercial leasing. Knowledge of lease documents and rent structure; and audit of common area maintenance. . KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Sets up rent for new and/or renewed full-time leases as well as part-time leases. Researches and responds to rent questions (both internally and externally. Resolves property management issues. Implements and maintains various tracking tools for the real estate office Sets up and processes service agreements Generates other documentation and memorandums instrumental to real estate projects.
