VanderHyde Mechanical, a family-owned business located on the Northwest side of Grand Rapids is seeking an experienced, motivated Commercial Construction HVAC Foreman!

VanderHyde Mechanical is a growing leader in the residential and commercial Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Electrical trades and has proudly been in business for over 34 years! Integrity, technical expertise, and high-quality service are the guiding principles of the VanderHyde team.

The Commercial HVAC Foreman has an advanced knowledge of how to correctly install or replace HVAC systems. Work involves troubleshooting, installing and replacing HVAC systems and equipment on commercial job sites.

Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities required:

• Strong Problem Solving and Critical Thinking Skills
• Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams
• Knowledge and understanding of refrigeration cycles
• Ability to lead and work on a team
• Must be able to perform work duties satisfactorily.
• Knowledge and ability to meet local HVAC codes
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items and work from heights or small spaces.
• Ability to pass background check.

To perform this job successfully candidates must have:

• Type II EPA Certification or EPA Universal
• Driver's License and Insurable driving record
• 2 or more years' experience
