Vander Haag's offers an enormous parts selection that includes used, refurbished, and new truck and trailer components. Our Heavy Duty Truck Parts Sales are at the center of this process, assisting customers with finding the parts they need to get their truck back on the road. We currently have an opening for a Parts Sales position at our store location in Columbus, Ohio!
The position requires exceptional customer service skills as well as the ability to be an adaptable team player. In this role, you will be required to "wear several different hats" throughout the course of the day. An ideal candidate will have strong problem solving skills as well as basic computer skills. Prior sales experience is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities of the job include: selling new, used, and rebuilt heavy duty truck parts; assisting walk in customers at the parts counter; working with the service department for parts needed in the shop; taking parts calls by phone; assisting with inventory control; and prospecting and cold calling on potential new customers. This position will help out in a variety of other jobs and departments on an as-needed basis as well.
Hours: Day shift hours, Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday mornings by rotation.
Compensation: This position pays an hourly base compensation an uncapped commission that is paid each month. Typical annual compensation for this position ranges from $60,000/year up to $100,000 /year (including commission) for qualified candidates.
