Description
The Housekeeper reports directly to the Director of Plant Operations and is responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness and sanitation in VGCC buildings. The primary areas of focus for the Housekeeper are restrooms and offices, but the position also requires cleaning in other areas including but not limited to conference rooms, workrooms, lounges, lobbies, and hallways.
This position is to be located on the Franklin Campus located in Louisburg, NC; from the hours of 6:30AM-3:30AM.
Essential Duties

• Clean and sanitize all components of restrooms including commodes, urinals, sinks, countertops, walls, floors, partitions, etc.
• Stock restrooms with paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and hand sanitizer.
• Deep clean restroom floors using floor scrubbing machine.
• Vacuum and spot clean carpet.
• Dust furniture and equipment.
• Clean windows and blinds.
• Dust mop and damp mop floors.
• Empty trash cans and recycling bins.
• Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and materials.
• Report deficiencies in facilities and cleaning equipment.
• Maintain a neat and orderly housekeeping closet.
• Remove litter from buildings and grounds as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Plant Operations.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial or institutional housekeeping experience

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• climb and work from ladders
• work in extreme weather conditions.
• Walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and repetitive movements.
• Move tables and chairs
