Our medical malpractice law firm is looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and methodical Medical Records Specialist to efficiently acquire medical, billing, and other records on behalf of our clients. The MRS can effectively secure records and accompanying affidavits independently by problem-solving and by being proactive. Our ideal candidate will adhere to our firm's medical record procedure meticulously and will meet related deadlines in a timely manner.

• Ensure confidentiality of documents is maintained and track chain of custody
• Maintain organization and follow filing and naming convention procedure
• Utilize reports and additional resources to manage deadlines
• Ensure that costs for obtaining records are within acceptable parameters
• Review incoming records for accuracy and additional needs
• Maintain thorough documentation and keep all requests up-to-date at any given time
• Must be an excellent communicator!

• At least 2 years of experience with medical records required - experience in legal setting preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in a customer service-related setting is required
• Impeccable data entry skills and attention to detail are necessary for success
• Verifiable references required
