Van's Home Center is Hiring a Sales Consultant Near Auburn, IN

Job Summary
Van's Home Center is looking for an experienced Retail Sales Consultant to join our team! As a member of our sales team, you will be the face of the company dealing with all customer questions about the product and services. It will be your job to assist and guide our clients through the selection and sales process and constantly expand your knowledge on new company products, services and policies. At Van's, we sell for the relationship, not the individual sales, and as such, you will also be responsible for managing your sales to completion and retaining customers through excellent customer service. Finally, you will be responsible for the store floor managing the displays, products, and tidiness of the store floor. 
Responsibilities:
  • Successful engage and guide our clients through the selection process by warmly greeting customers, understanding clients needs and concerns, engaging customers with merchandise, and providing exceptional customer service
  • Becoming a subject matter expert on all the products and service we offer
  • Organizing and maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the store floor
  • Strong product knowledge
  • Contribute to the department’s sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis • Passionately seek out customers in the store
  • Build customer relationships 
Qualifications:
  • Proven success in large ticket retail sales
  • Experience in home decorating and design
  • Experience in the Home Building process
  • Professional appearance
  • Willingness to dedicate personal time to learn our products and services
  • Personable and friendly attitude. Ability to successfully engage new clients
  • Enjoys and thrives in fast-paced, competitive environments 
  • Understanding of sales principles
  • Ability to work Saturdays until 5pm and certain weekdays until 7pm
