We are seeking an R&D Intern to join our R&D team. The R&D Intern helps perform and maintain test methods needed for development and production of lubrication fluids, including engine oils and transmission fluids. The Intern will support development of new lubrication formulations, analysis of customer complaint samples and evaluation of used oil from vehicle field trials. In this role you will have the opportunity to:

• Perform and Maintain test methods for analysis of lubricants
• Enter data into digital quality system and generate reports
• Provide analytical support for R&D projects
• Participate in zero-incident safety culture
• Fulfill routine housekeeping duties which comply with chemical hygiene plan
• Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.

Requirements:

• Knowledge in general chemistry, math and physics
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Software
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Education:

• Pursuing Bachelors' in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
• Completed High School Diploma
