Value Added Distributors, LLC is looking for a driven, hardworking, and enthusiastic full-time Production Supervisor, Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm to join their team of experts in custom hose building at their Iron Mountain, MI plant. The starting pay for this position is around $17.00- $17.50 per hour depending on experience.Job Overview for the Production Supervisor:The Production Supervisor is responsible for the production team at the facility. The production team works on assembling the hydraulic hoses and assorted production kits, such as filer assemblies, energy chains, belt making, and other assembly kits. Duties include cutting the hose, put fittings on, crimp the hose, clean the hose, and get the hoses packaged up. The Production Supervisor determines the various unit structures and allocate essential resources, along with participating in strategic planning for their respective region.Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities for the Production Supervisor:

• Work with Sales Manager to design and implement a marketing strategy containing measurable goals.
• Monitor customer preferences to determine the focus of sales efforts.
• Assembling orders and preparing goods for shipment, recording shipment data.
• Data entry and database management.
• Create a culture of sense of urgency and disciplined adherence to support customer quality and delivery expectations while achieving profitability targets.
• Manage the performance of branch operations.
• Build effective working relationships with customers, direct reports, peers, managers, vendors, etc.
• Embrace the Continuous Improvement activities and promotes employee empowerment, while working to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Responsible either directly or indirectly for the procuring of materials, supplies or any other items necessary for the daily operation.
• Ability to operate a new and developing branch and market.
• Ability to achieve and exceed sales goals.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Previous experience in the Value Added Sales model preferred.
• Application and troubleshooting experience with fluid power and systems preferred.
• Current sales affiliation in the market is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
• Sense of urgency in fast paced environment.
• Solid judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Sense of urgency in fast paced environment.
• Requires ability to safely lift up to 30 pounds using proper lifting techniques. 
• Must be able to use and read tape measures and digital calipers.
• Ability to apply basic math skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
