A Brief SummaryThis position is responsible for supporting the clerical functions of the Quality department. The incumbent must maintain a high degree of accuracy while performing the tasks required of this position and must be able to communicate effectively with multiple areas of the organization via phone and E-mail. The incumbent must be organized and be able to review, compare, analyze and approve data against both ASTM & internal specifications.
Essential Functions
- Create lower-level certifications based on customer needs.
- Review and process material test reports, including printing, sorting, distributing, and scanning.
- File various reports and documents as required.
- Gather and update cost of quality data as needed.
- Track welder/tool calibration and welder qualification information.
- Process and file QCAR’s and SCAR’s
- High School diploma and 1 year of work experience
- Ability to read and interpret specifications (ASTM, Divisional Specs, etc.)
- Ability to interpret data and make accurate computer entries.
- Basic math skills
- Ability to maintain electronic and manual filing systems.
- Ability to compose letters and memos.
