Valleywise Health System is Hiring a Phlebotomy Technician (POOL) Near Phoenix, AZ

As a pool phlebotomy technician, you will provide direct patient care by collecting blood specimens for laboratory diagnostic testing. You will join a team of dedicated phlebotomists who provide exceptional patient care in a busy medical center. Under the direction of the phlebotomy supervisor, you will use your knowledge and expertise to perform quality venipuncture techniques and collaborate with members of the health system to ensure phlebotomy services are meeting the needs of patients and customers.
Hourly Pay Rate: $21.00
This is a POOL position.
Qualifications
Education:
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
Certification/Licensure:
  • Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card. Fingerprint clearance cards must remain valid for the entire period of issuance and must be renewed before expiration.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Requires the ability to effectively read, write, and speak in English, including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Requires excellent time management and customer service skills.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Requires creative, analytical, and independent thinking.
  • Must be approachable, open to feedback, and flexible to change.
  • Must support and maintain policies and processes.
  • Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism and enthusiasm and have the knowledge and skill necessary to perform venipuncture techniques.
