Valley View Hospital Association is Hiring a Patient Services Specialist for Valley View's Heart and Vascular Clinic, Grand Junction Clinic Full-Time Near Glenwood, CO
This position is for our Grand Junction Clinic!
Valley View's busy Grand Junction Heart and Vascular Clinic is seeking a Full-Time, patient-focused Patient Services Specialist. This position is 5 days a week, Monday-Friday, 8 hours a day. Previous Customer Service/reception experience in a medical setting is required. Bilingual Spanish/English is also preferred.
Responsibilities include:
Representing our clinic by providing a warm and friendly impression. Rotating between check in, check out and Referral Coordinator desk. Communicating thoroughly and in a timely manner with other team members. Managing incoming orders, referrals and patient documents via fax or EMR. Sorting and labeling electronic documents. Scheduling for multiple providers, testing and clinical procedures. Documenting patient cases for thorough communication documentation. Triaging phone calls and transferring to appropriate clinical person. Checking voicemails/emails. Some charge entry.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional customer service skills required.
- Must act according to HIPPA guidelines and protect patient information.
- Proficiency of typing and computer skills.
- Proficiency in maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, busy environment.
- Ability to appropriately prioritize tasks and patient needs.
- Ability to work efficiently as a team.
- Ability to self-motivate and stay on task.
SALARY
- Starting salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
- Position wage range: $19.00 - $27.75/hour
