SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the immediate supervision of operations at a senior center site.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Evaluation of this position is based primarily on performance of the following essential functions, which include, but are not limited to:

• Direct meal service operations.
• Record daily participation and maintain daily sign-up sheets to assist in ordering meals.
• Assist participants in registering for meals & provide education on VSS Programing
• Create a well-rounded monthly activity schedule consisting of crafts, recreational, and educational activities for senior participants
• Supervise serving of the noon meal
• Keep inventory and order kitchen supplies as needed.
• Supervision of site assistants and volunteers.
• Schedule staff to help with daily operations at the senior center site, provide direction, and help to staff.
• Responsible for handling meal donations and ride ticket purchases
• Support Nutrition Program through administrative duties and assist Nutrition Manager as needed

OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Evaluation of this position may also be based on performance of the following other functions, which include, but are not limited to:

• Keeps direct supervisor promptly informed of key and significant issues or concerns.
• Carries out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers, and public.
• Performs related duties as assigned or apparent.

Previous experience working with senior citizens preferred.
