Seasonal Service Tech Assistant

The main role of the Seasonal Service Tech Assistant is to accompany one of our Lead Service Technicians on customer job-sites to perform pool openings, closings, pool & spa repair, and safety cover installations.

• As a primary responsibility, you will be helping the service crews with pool openings, pool closings, and safety cover installations. This would require you to start in Monroeville on these designated days and you would know this in advance. Therefor , you will be required to have reliable transportation.
• You may also be asked to occasionally work at the Charleroi Hot Tub distribution center helping with inventory control and movement, cleaning and maintaining the facilities, vehicles and equipment

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• This is a "hands-on" service and warehousing position and involves very minimal desk-type work. You will be on your feet, working vigorously the majority of your day, lifting and lowering heavy objects (spas).
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, walk, and lift very heavy 100 pound items.
• Fork truck, equipment and dollies are provided for large merchandise over 100 pounds, in addition to proper equipment and tools for moving the hot tubs.
• Ability to safely operate Distribution Center warehouse equipment such as fork lifts, pallet jacks, pallet scales, etc. (Fork Lift certification course will be provided upon employment)
• Ability to stock and retrieve merchandise of varying sizes from various heights, ranging from the floor level up to the ceiling of the Distribution Center. Moving stairs, ladders, and fork trucks provided.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include excellent vision with or without corrective lenses and close vision for reading inventory documentation and cartons.
• Ability to work in an environment and OUTDOORS where there will be variance in temperature, dust, & noise level/ non-climate-controlled environment, and outside in various temperatures and weather conditions.
• Ability to do basic math without having to rely on a calculator for quick case counts and physical inventory.
• Ability to count by case counts, such as by 6's, 12's, 18's, and 24's.
• Basic computer skills: The ability to operate a Windows based software system, MS Office, email, and internet.
• You must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• You must have a valid driver's license and a reliable form of self-transportation due to working in multiple facilities.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• No previous experience required as we will train the right individuals.
• Heavy merchandise handling experience is preferred
• Applicants must have a High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years of age or older and available during all schedule hours listed is schedule section

WORK SCHEDULE:

• Average 35 - 40 hours per week, occasional overtime
• Monday through Friday: Start time varies between 7:00 and 8:30 am depending on specific work for the day. Ending times vary between 3:30 and 5:00 pm. (30-minute lunch break)
• Saturday - 6-8 hours with early start time most Saturdays in May & June, Sept and October
• Sunday: Off
• Summer work May through August/September

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

• $13 per hour
