Valley Medical Group is looking for a RN Team Leader to join our Endoscopy team and work in our Ambulatory Surgery and Procedure Center. If you are looking for a dynamic environment, this is your opportunity!
Position: Registered Nurse Team Leader (ASPC)
Location: Amherst, MA
Hours: 40 hours, Monday-Friday generally between 8:00am-5:00pm. This is an exempt position.
Reporting directly to the Quality Director, the RN Team Leader provides leadership and support for the nursing staff at the Ambulatory Surgery and Procedures Center (ASPC). The RN team leader oversees the all aspects of the delivery of nursing care, providing clinical expertise to ensure the delivery of safe, high quality care and services, consistent with established clinical guidelines and processes for the procedures performed. The RN Team leader will supervise, coach, provide support and education training for the nursing staff.
Job Responsibilities:
· Develops and oversees operation of the infection control program for the ASPC in compliance with AAAHC, CDC, AORN, MA DPH regulations and best practices
· Supervises the clinical care delivered by staff
· Manages patient flow to support all aspects of the nursing care including before, during and after procedure
· Collaborates with Quality Director and Assistant Manager in the utilization of VMG resources, purchasing, and requests for funds
· Develops, implements, measures and documents QI projects
· Maintains ASPC Infection Control Program
· Provides leadership and best practice modeling to nursing staff
· Oversees the hiring of nursing personnel
Required Qualifications:
· Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, registered nurse
· Massachusetts RN license
· CPR – BLS and ACLS certifications
· Minimum of three years professional experience in a leadership role in a clinical setting
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor degree preferred; commensurate experience required
· Experience in surgical setting, PACU, ambulatory surgery center preferred
