Job Description

Valley EyeCare Medical Associates is looking for an experienced Front Office Receptionist.

Established in 1975, we are the premier eye center in the Tri-Valley area with offices in Pleasanton and Livermore.

We offer ophthalmology, optometry, and optical services, specializing in primary eye care, medical, surgical, optical, and LASIK.

If you are interested in a full-time front office position, in a fast paced office, working with a dynamic team providing excellent health care and customer service to all our patients, we invite you to apply for the Front Office position.

Education and Experience:

1. High school diploma or equivalent

2. Minimum 2 years experience working in the front office of a medical practice, preferably ophthalmology or optometry

3. Minimum 2 years experience working with third party insurance payors, including PPOs, HMOs, and vision plans

4.Experience with Contact Lens ordering is a plus

Essential Skills and Abilities.

1. Must be organized, multi-task oriented, energetic and possess a positive, professional attitude

2. Outstanding telephone, secretarial, communication and computer skills

3. Problem solver, analytical skills

4. Personable, empathetic with patient’s needs and concerns.

5. Well-organized with attention to detail

6. Ability to work as a team member

7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

8. Knowledge of practice management software helpful

9. Available during business hours: M-F 8am-6:00pm.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The duties include, but are not limited to:

* Schedule appointments

* Responsible for patient check-in and check-out

* Obtain insurance authorization and referral verification.

* Data Entry

*Medical Record Maintenance

* Must be available to work in Pleasanton and Livermore offices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
