Valley Courier and Delivery Service, Inc is Hiring a Dispatcher Near Kingston, NY

Overview:
We are currently seeking a Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate may have experience in supply chain and transportation with a strong understanding of shipping, receiving, and freight operations but we will train the right candidate

Duties:
- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, ensuring timely delivery of goods
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
- Assist in transportation planning to optimize routes and minimize costs
- Monitor shipments to track progress and address any delays or issues promptly

Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills needed, working with customers and drivers over the phone on a daily basis.
- Experience in freight operations and dispatching, or a willingness to lean something new
- Dispatching fleet of drivers during the day and setting up for the following day. Knowledge of various mapping systems, vehicles capabilities and basic math needed.

- Bilingual a plus but not needed.

- Basic warehouse duties required. Accepting freight in and counting inventory.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
